Lawrence Luther Bellows (Larry), age 77, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his home on Friday, September 18, 2026. Larry, “Bloop”, was born on February 28,1949 to the late Willis and Dorothy (Allen) Bellows in Troy, Pennsylvania.

During his formative years, Larry spent time in both the Canton and Troy School Districts where he graduated as a Trojan in 1967.

Following his high school commencement, Larry helped his father drive truck. He also spent some time working at Masonite in Towanda, PA. He ultimately found his forever career and his beloved wife, Gale (Monro) Bellows at Edgewood Farms under Archie and Catherine Monro of Sylvania, PA. He played a major part in supplying the milk that nourished the families of the Troy area as well as the students and staff at Troy Area School District for several decades.

Even though he cherished being an integral part of Edgewood Farms, Larry loved nurturing and raising his most valuable crop, which was his family. He taught his kids the value of a hard day’s work, the importance of consistency, structure, resilience, and devotion to family.

After retirement, Larry enjoyed spending most of his time with Gale and his family. He loved watching his granddaughter, Verena “Kifflyn”, compete on the Bearfoot Gymnastics team and his two grandsons, Thad and Vaughn, wrestle competitively year ‘round at United Training Facility. He also cherished spending time laughing and sharing facets of his life with them. Larry enjoyed getting together with his friends from Troy High School for breakfast monthly to catch up on current events and reminisce about the “Good ol’ days”. He also spent countless hours on his John Deere diesel zero turn mower where he loved keeping the grounds beautiful.

Knowing Larry meant having a friend. Bloop “never met a nut he couldn’t crack”, as he would be able to meet a stranger on one occasion and be able to call him friend on the very next encounter. He had an uncanny ability to make anyone feel welcomed and valued. His expansive community of friends will always remember him by his truly genuine disposition, quick wit, easy smile and dependable character.

In his wake, Larry leaves his beloved wife, Gale (Monro), his son, lawrence thad bellows (Brit Reed) and his daughter, Laura Catherine Bellows (Marc Fortney); grandchildren, Thad Monro, Verena Kifflyn, and Vaughn Claude Bellows; sisters, Connie Williams and Doris Ann Bentley; brothers-in-law, Gary Monro (Sr), Paul Tillotson (Sr); sisters-in-law, Sharon Hoagland, Linda Monro as well as countless nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his Mom and Dad, Larry was predeceased by his in-laws, Archie and Catherine Monro; siblings Roger Bellows, Robert Hoagland, Darlene Tillotson; brothers-in-Law, Robert Bentley, Robert Williams, and Lyle Monro; sisters-in-law, Eunice Bellows and Alexis Monro. Larry declared that he wanted to be remembered through memories of good times and genuine connection with all who knew him. Even though customary services will not be held, fond memories are hoped to never be withheld. Larry’s final public message to everyone is: “Keep going…”

In keeping with Larry’s expressed wishes there will be no services. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
