Linda J. (May) Krise, 87, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Guthrie Towanda Skilled Nursing.
Born on May 25, 1938, in Canton, Linda Jane was the daughter of the late Stanley and Beatrice (Little) May. She was a proud graduate of Canton Area High School, Class of 1956. On June 6, 1958, she married her beloved husband, Paul Krise, in a heartfelt ceremony at the Leroy Baptist Church. Their marriage spanned 67 years, filled with love, partnership, and unwavering devotion.
Linda worked for many years at Canton Manufacturing before retiring, and was a devoted member of Leroy Baptist Church.
She found joy in the simple things like crossword puzzles, crocheting cherished baby blankets and afghans for those she loved, and spending time on seasonal camping trips with her family. Above all, Linda treasured her faith, her home, and the family she held so dear.
Surviving is her loving husband, Paul, at home; her children: Brenda Heeman of Troy; Lisa (Mike) Miosi, and Duane (Delina) Krise, all of Leroy; and her grandchildren: Rich (Jen) Heeman and Chris (Erika) Heeman of Williamsport; Jenn Thursby (Scott Stone) of Canton; Heather Seeba of Montgomery; Kelly Krise of Canton; David Krise of Leroy; and Thomas Krise (Jody Matthews) of Florida as well as several great grandchildren. Linda is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember her with fondness.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Ruth Peters, Art May, and Jerry May; and her son-in-law, Mike Heeman.
A time of visitation will be held from 11 to Noon on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton. A funeral service will follow at Noon with burial after in Mott Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Linda's name may be directed to the Leroy Baptist Church, 301 Mill Street, Canton, PA 17724.
