Lois J. Oliver, 79, of Williamsport, formerly of Ralston, went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 25, 2022, at home with family by her side. Lois Jane was born October13, 1942, in Mansfield, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Beatrice (Elliott) Patterson.
Lois was an alumnus of Mansfield High School and soon after graduation married the love of her life Jesse J. Oliver. Together they shared nearly 62 years of devoted marriage and raised four sons.
Mrs. Oliver was employed as a Real Estate Agent for various realtycompanies throughout the area, most recently being Barger Realty in Williamsport. For over 30 years, Lois built a bedrock of friends in the real estate industryuntil the past few years when failing health no longer permitted her to continue working.
In earlier years, Lois was an active member of Ralston's Open-Door Chapel and after moving to Williamsport joined the Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed singing and was part of the music ministry's "Praise Team".
Lois life encompassed her home, family and church. She cared for not only her own family but extended family and friends as well.
She enjoyed the outdoors, especially the many trips to see the Elkin Benezette, PA. Mrs. Oliver was proud to have been a published author of
TheWinters of Williamsport
, recently released by Fulton Books.
In addition to her beloved husband Jesse, Lois is survived by her three sons, Don, Brad and Tim Oliver, siblings, June Wilbur, Larry (Bonnie) Patterson, sister-in-law, Karen Fox-Patterson, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a son, Gregory Oliver on Feb. 20, 2022, and a brother, Ed Patterson.
A memorial service to honor both Lois and her late son Greg's lives will be 6p.m. Friday March 4, 2002,at the Assembly of God Church, 1230 Sherman St. Williamsport, PA 17701. The Family will receive friends one hour prior from 5 - 6 p.m. at the church.Burial will be held at a later date in Beech Flats Cemetery.
