Obituary

Lonn D. Ensinger, 74, of Shunk, formerly of Denver, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Lonn David was born January 5, 1948, in Denver, PA to the late Chester and Marion (Sweigart) Ensinger. He was raised in Denver and attended school there. Later, heproudly served our country during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1969.



Lonnwas employed as a laborer in the family construction business for many years until retiring.He was an avid fisherman, once upon a time a league pool player, a plasterer, one heck of a good cook, and a veteran who served in the U.S. Army in Czechoslovakia. He loved spending time at his cabin in Northern PA and sleeping. He was a Past President of the Northern Lancaster County Game & Fish and a former Trustee at the Reinholds V.F.W. Post 6759.



Lonnwas preceded in death by a brother, Brian Ensinger, and a great-nephew. He is survived by his brother, Timothy Ensinger, (husband of Vicki), three nieces, three great-nephews, a great-niece, and many friends who will carry on his legend.



A private family celebration of Lonn's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Reinholds V.F.W.
