Obituary

Lucille E. Brown, 86, of Windfall, PA died peacefully on Monday morning, April 30, 2018 at Guthrie Troy Community Hospital. She courageously fought to the end with her beloved family at her side.

Lucille Ellen was born June 20, 1931 in Gray Valley near Sylvania, PA, the only daughter of the late Wilson Delos and Hilda (Ripley) Giles. Lucy married Delbert "Delly" Brown on July 13, 1965. She was a member of Windfall Methodist Church and later attended the Fellowship Bible Church in Troy.

Family always came first in Lucy's life. She will be lovingly remembered as the matriarch of the family who kept everything running smoothly. Lucy enjoyed many interests in her life; favorites included times shared with her children and grandchildren, camping throughout the area and conversations around the campfire with family and friends. Most recently, for 15 years she enjoyed working and was a great help in establishing Brown's Pharmacy with locations in Canton and Troy.

In addition to Delbert, her husband of 52 years, Lucy is survived by her children; Steve (Connie) Bolt of Mansfield, Richard Bolt of Lebanon County, Bonnie (Charles) Roupp of Blossburg, Roger (Susie) Bolt of Mainsburg, John Brown (Cindy Ridall) of Troy and Tim Brown (Ken Cummings) of Athens, grandchildren; Anne Hubbard, Gabriel Bolt, Jacob Bolt, Travis Bolt, Jenna Basselgia, Chad Roupp, Jamie Bolt, Kimberly (Dave) Root, Michael Bailey, Lauren Ridall and Blaklee Brown, several great grandchildren, three siblings; James "Fay" (Celeste) Giles, Wilson Delos II (Tressa) Giles and Richard (Laura) Giles all of Mill Creek, sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law; Loretta Gustin of Troy, Martha White of Hershey and Richard Thomas of Alba, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.

She was predeceased by a sister-in-law and brothers-in-law; Virginia Thomas, Richard Gustin and Robert White also her father-in-law and mother-in-law; John and Catherine Vivian Brown.

Friends are invited to call 10 – 11 A.M. Saturday, May 26, at Fellowship Bible Church, Mud Creek Rd, Troy. Pastor Mark Steckiel will officiate a celebration of Lucy's life at 11 A.M. Burial in Windfall Cemetery will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial to a charity of one's choice. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Dr., Canton is assisting her family with arrangements.
