Lucille Terry, 90, of Wellsboro, PA formerly of Covington, was called home to Heaven on Monday, October 3, 2016, from her daughter's home in Wellsboro.
Lucille Alice was born January 10, 1926 in Canton, PA.Her parents were the late Lemuel M. and Myrtle M. (Bastion) Smith.On April 10, 1946 she married Donald Terry. They shared 45 years together and were blessed with seven children before his passing on Sept. 18, 1991.
Family always came first in Lucille's life.Her faith in God was her guide.She was an active member of the Cherry Flats Baptist Church and their Ladies Bible Study Group.Lucille especially enjoyed family gatherings, walking, cross stitching and fishing.
Surviving are her children; Russell (Virginia) Terry of Lititz, Rita (Eric) Michael of Selinsgrove, Kathleen (Jack) Brenchley of Peyton, CO, Samuel (Tammy) Terry of Ulster, Timothy (Shirley) Terry of Gastonia, NC, Lois (Jerry) VanNess of Wellsboro and Deborah (Jeff) Kingery of Prescott, AZ, 24 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild, two siblings; Reba Shepard of Roaring Branch and Larry (Harriett) Smith of Canton, an uncle; Dean Bastion of Elmira, several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
In addition to her husband Don, she was predeceased by a grandson, Chad Terry and siblings, Leatrice Hill and George Smith.
Calling hours are Friday 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Dr. Canton.Pastor Ken Smith will officiate the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.Burial will follow in Ogdensburg Cemetery. Share condolences at www.pepperfuneralhomes.com
