Martha Winifred "Winnie" Wood, 95, formerly of Troy and Towanda, PA passed away Wednesday evening, September 27, 2017 at Guthrie Troy Community Hospital while surrounded by loved ones.Born February 10, 1922 in Overton, PA, she was a daughter of the late W. Earl and Edna Rose (Voorhis) Brown.Love for family and friends always came first in Winnie's life.Her thoughtfulness will be missed by many as she especially loved giving and receiving cards.She also appreciated all types of flowers.

Surviving are four children; Thomas E. Jennings of West Franklindale, Janet M. Jennings Messenger of Troy, Ronald D. (Madge) Jennings of New Hampshire and Deb (Rod) Manley of Troy, a special friend and companion, James VanNess of Monroeton, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, two daughters-in-law; Cindy Jennings of Texas and Peggy Jennings of Ohio.Also, dear friend Pastor George Ogden of Sylvania and many nieces, nephews, cousins.

She was predeceased by two sons; Robert E. Jennings and Gary L. Jennings, several siblings, a daughter-in-law, Marlene Jennings and son-in-law, Everett L. Messenger and the father of her children, Thomas E. Jennings, Sr.

In keeping with Winifred's wishes, a private family memorial service and burial will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, those who wish may consider a donation in her name to the Bradford County Manor, 15900 Rt. 6 Troy, PA 16947.
