Myra V. (Talley) Malloy, 68, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre while surrounded by her sister and her husband, Ruth and Bob Palmer and friends George (Connie) Taylor. Myra Virginia was born April 12, 1956, in West Chester, PA, a daughter of the late Ralph and Anna (Tunner) Talley. She attended Henderson High School and was a graduate of the class of 1974. On September 5, 1987, Myra married Kevin Malloy at their home on Saco Road in Ulster, PA. Together they shared 31 years of marriage prior to Kevin's passing in 2011. My, as known by many, was employed as a CNA and a bartender until her retirement in 2016. Myra was a member of the Canton Moose Lodge #429 and the Morris Run American Legion Post #167 and the Canton American Legion Post #303.

Myra truly loved life and was always smiling. She enjoyed gardening, trips to her Florida family and getting on the motorcycle. Her job at Manor Long Term Care was her favorite. She loved the residents there and they taught her so much about life and how to have empathy for others, she stated "They made me a good person."

Myra is survived by her sister; Ruth (Bobby) Palmer of Canton, nephews; Sam Palmer (Connie May) of Canton and Ron (Linda) Palmer of New Paris Ohio, niece; Bobbie Jean Bassett (Jeff Bishop) of Waymart, PA, and special friends George and Connie Taylor.

Besides her parents and husband Kevin, Myra was predeceased by a brother; Ralph Talley, sister; Carol Ianuzzi and a niece; Kimberly Brown.

A gathering of friends will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton.
