Nancy M. (Barnes) Nybeck, 73, of Blossburg, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at UPMC in Williamsport. Nancy Mae was born April 20, 1951, in Roaring Branch, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Grace (Moyer) Barnes. She was a member of the Hillside Rod and Gun Clun and the Morris Run Legion Post 167.

Nancy was stubborn in her own way and a very independent person. Never one to sit still, she was always busy going to new places and trying new things. She truly centered her life around her family and friends. They were always the most important and always took priority over herself.

Surviving Nancy are her children; Mike (Chris) Vroman of Gleason, Melinda (Lee) Starkweather of Blossburg, Kevin Nybeck of Morris Run and Carl Nybeck of Blossburg, grandchildren; Zach Nybeck, Samantha Vroman, Lauren, Erin and Kristen Nybeck, siblings; Rob Barnes of Ohio, Mike Barnes of Canton, Jake Barnes of Morris Run, Pam Brotzman of Grover and Miranda Barnes of Troy, as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, Nancy was predeceased by a grandson; Dakota McCain and siblings; Chuck Barnes, Donna Patrick and Tom Barnes.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 1 – 2 P.M. at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton. A celebration of Nancy's life will follow. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
