Norma J. (Frey) Richards, 72, of Roaring Branch, passed away early Sunday morning, February 18, 2024, at UPMC Hospital in Williamsport. Norma Jean was born April 30, 1951, in Williamsport, a daughter to the late Robert and Eleanor (Snyder) Frey. She was a graduate of Canton Area High School. On July 10, 1999, Norma married Jacob "Buck" Richards III at their home in Roaring Branch. Together they shared 24 years of loving marriage. Norma was a bartender at Red Run for 26 years until her retirement in 2015, where she was also a long-time active member.

She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, walking and growing strawberry plants. Feeding the rabbits and squirrels was something she truly enjoyed. Norma was affectionately known as "Wilma" by many Red Run patrons for the many losing tickets she sold. The customers loved her, and they always had a true camaraderie. Her utmost importance was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandbabies.

Norma leaves behind her husband, Buck, at home, children, Robert "Rob" Hill Jr. (Cathy) of Marsh Hill, Jodi Hill (Mark Kregar) of Roaring Branch, grandchildren, Breonna Hill (Derek),  Felicia Hill (Tim Bassett), Camerian Hill (Grace) and Seth "Zeth" Hill, great grandbabies, Tyson, Carson, Beau, Bristol, and Caden who is on the way, a sister-in-law, Mary Frey of Florida as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents Norma was predeceased by her siblings; Josephine (John) Stoner, Dorothy (Graydon) Roupp, Dean Frey and Bill Frey.

In keeping with Norma's wishes there will be no services. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Norma's name may be directed to the American Breast Cancer Society, 10440 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 300, Columbia, MD 21044 or to a charity of one's choice.
