Patricia "Pat" Rogers, 75, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, following a brief stay at the Athens Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Patricia Ann Leiby was born April 13, 1949, in Bloomsburg, one of two daughters to the late Eli and Jean (Thomas) Leiby. Pat attended Bloomsburg High School and was a graduate of the class of 1967. She then went on to Bloomsburg University and in 1971 earned a bachelor's degree in education. On September 2, 1972, Pat married her soulmate, Scott Rogers in Bloomsburg. Together they shared 42 years of marriage and raised two children until Scott's passing on February 24, 2014.

Mrs. Rogers was employed by Troy Area School District for 34 years as a 9th grade English teacher and also served as a former Trojan track coach for over 15 years. Pat was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church and the Troy Rotary.

Pat was very active in her community. She assisted the Troy Town Band and was an avid supporter of Troy athletics and music programs as well as the Thursday study club. Pat loved to travel throughout the United States and overseas. In her earlier years she enjoyed going to visit the state of Maine with her late husband Scott. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and teacher who loved her family, community and all her students.

Pat leaves behind her children, Gretchen (Matt) Geer of Springfield and Zachary (Megan) Rogers of Bloomsburg, grandchildren, Elizabeth Geer, Evan Geer, Tyler Rogers and Jake Rogers a sister, Carol (Glen) Coombe of Bloomsburg, brothers-in-law, Brett Rogers of Sayre, Seth (Bonnie) Rogers of Wellsboro and a sister-in-law, Sandy Call of Sayre, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents and husband, Pat was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Alice Rogers.

Visitation will be held from Noon to 1 P.M. of Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Springfield Baptist Church, 3093 Springfield Road, Columbia Cross Road, PA 16914. A memorial service will follow at 1 P.M. with the church's pastor, Aamir Din officiating. Burial will be held afterwards in the Harkness Cemetery.
