Phyllis G. Deal, 92, of Canton, PA, passed away on Tuesday September 11 2018 at the Guthrie Troy Community Hospital.

Born September 8, 1926 in Roaring Branch, PA, Phyllis was the last surviving child in the family of the late Joseph and Sadie (Smith) Good and a 1944 graduate of Canton High School. Phyllis was the wife of Robert Deal who passed away on June 9, 1976. She was employed as an accountant in Chittenango, NY for many years until retiring.

Phyllis' life was guided by her trust in the word of the Lord. She was of the Episcopal faith. Phyllis enjoyed being very independent and was a strong-willed lady. She also will be remembered as a kind person who was interested in her family and friends' well-being. Blessed with a strong constitution, Phyllis remained mentally sharp and active throughout life. Her hobbies included reading and knitting.

Surviving are six nieces, six nephews and many great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her husband Bob, she was predeceased by her siblings, Ralph, Eugene, J. Ardell, Lola, Irene, Betty and two infant sisters.

In keeping with Phyllis' wishes, there are no public services. Burial will be in Springbrook Cemetery, Seneca Falls, NY at a later date. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility in Canton is assisting her family with arrangements.
