On Thursday, November 30, 2023, Rebekah "Becky" Starr Boyer went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. Becky was born on April 4th, 1947. She was the youngest of the five daughters born to Kermit and Gladys Grenell Starr of Ralston.

Becky attended Ralston Elementary and then Canton High School. She was involved in the marching band and drama club productions. In 1964, She would marry the love of her life, James J. Boyer. Together, they spent much time on the lake fishing, from Black Lake NY to Centennial Lake in Ontario Canada. Becky and James had three children together, Kimberly (Don Clark) Dieffenbach, Kristin (Greg) Kelley, and Jennifer (Gary) Jones. They would then be blessed with eight grandchildren, Cain Dieffenbach, Joshua (Brionna) Kelley, Nicholas (Kelsey) Kelley, Jessica Kelley, Shallena (Cisco) Santana, James Perry, Todd Perry, and Cody (Kristen) Jones, ten great grandchildren and one on the way.

Becky was a faithful follower of her Lord and was a light in her community. She may have been best known by the children who attended Bible School in The Ralston United Methodist Church where she led the morning opening with fun and singing. She primarily was a housewife but did spend many hours doing floral arrangements for Bob and Ida Gleckner's flower shop. Becky also loved nature and showed that through her beautiful pictures.

Becky was predeceased by her husband James, Parents Kermit and Gladys, In-laws Owen and Geraldine Boyer, Sisters and brother in laws, Florence and Bob Reese, Joyce and Dale Reynard, Carol and Jim Cowing, sister-in-law Ellen Boyer, and great granddaughter Karleigh Biery Jones.

Besides her children and grandchildren, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Connie and Bob Robbins, brother-in-law Al Boyer, and many nieces and nephews and good friends from the neighborhood and church community.

Family invites friends to call from 10-11 A.M. on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Ralston United Methodist Church. A service to celebrate Becky's life will follow at 11. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements.
