Obituary

Richard "Dick" L. Clark, 86, of Blossburg, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. Richard Lynn was born January 21, 1937, a son to the late Elmer "Tug" and Margaret "Peg" (Chilson) Clark. He attended Canton Area Schools and was a graduate of the class of 1955. On January 13, 1968, Dick married the former Ann Dwyer in Wellsboro. Together they shared 55 years of loving marriage. Dick, as known by most, was always a hard worker. In his younger years he worked alongside his dad and brother as a carpenter. He then went on to work at Jones and Brague Mining until they went out of business. During this time, he also owned the Canton Grill for 8 years. Lastly, he worked at the Tioga County Housing Authority for nearly 10 years until his retirement in 1999. Dick was a member of the Canton Moose Lodge 429 and the Morris Run Legion Post 167.

Dick was a true outdoorsman. He had a passion for fishing, especially at Keuka Lake, and enjoyed hunting. Making decorative solar lights was something he truly enjoyed. He and Ann would set up at any event to sell them.

Dick leaves behind his wife; Ann Clark, at home, children; Joseph Clark of Lexington, Kentucky and Valerie (Rick) Adams of Lewistown, step-children; John (Haidee) Deming of Blossburg and Adam Deming of Avon, Indiana, grandchildren; Zoe Barnstone-Clark, Sarah Adams Galloway, Josh (Joy) Adams, Pat Deming, Eric (Jessica) Deming, Mika Deming and Erika Deming, great grandchildren; Layla, Patrick, Carver and Freya Deming, brother; Robert (LaVonna) Clark of Canton, his feline friend; Cinder, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Besides his parents Dick was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Clark.
