It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rita (Gannon) Misal on Friday, March 28, 2025. Rita was born on August 16, 1959, in Philadelphia, a daughter to Irving and Rita (Szymendera) Gannon. Rita worked at QVC in Landisville, PA until she retired due to her health. After retiring she volunteered her time as a stay-at-home mom and grandma and participated in the legion activities and benefits. Rita was known for her strong will, unwavering determination and love and support for her family and community.

Rita leaves behind her partner; John Wakefield, daughters; Amy (John) Lowe, Chrissy (Brian) Thomas and Heather (Howard) Koontz, son; Melvin Green, granddaughter; Chyanne (Brandon) Lucas, whom she helped raise along with 10 other grandchildren, sisters; Donna Gannon, Sue Fiske, Patricia Hershey and Helen O'Donnell, brothers; Irving Gannon and Rufus Gannon.

Besides her parents, Rita was predeceased by a brother; Joseph Gannon.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
