Robert "Bob" Ziegler, 69, of Troy (formerly of Green Lane, PA), passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 6, 2024, at his home.

Robert Lee Ziegler was born June 17, 1954, in Lansdale, PA, he was a son of Harold and Judith Ann (Allebach) Ziegler. Bob attended Souderton Area Schools and was a graduate of the class of 1972. On December 26, 1982, he married the former Sandy Kolb in Telford, PA. Together they shared 41 years of loving marriage and raised two daughters.

He was a talented backhoe operator and was employed for over 25 years as a heavy equipment operator in Elroy, PA until his retirement in 2017.  Bob was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish and in earlier years snowmobile on Armenia Mountain.  He was an independent individual who was known to be a little set in his ways but was also good natured and helped anyone in need.  Most important to Bob was his family, especially his beloved granddaughters who had him wrapped around their finger.

He was a member of the Souderton-Harleysville gun club and the NRA.

Robert leaves behind his parents, Harold and Judith Ann Ziegler of Souderton, his wife Sandy at home, two daughters, Sara (Ryan) Davidson of Chambersburg, Kelly (Greg) Lisachenko of Center Valley, two granddaughters, Josephina "Jo" and Anastasia "Ana" a brother, Jim Ziegler of Green Lane, four nephews, a niece and several cousins.

He was predeceased by a sister, Cindy Ziegler.

In keeping with Bob's expressed wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial donations in Robert Ziegler's memory may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
