Robert "Bob" Bowens Jr., 85, of Blossburg, PA, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the Bradford County Manor in Troy. Born March 14, 1937 in Imperial, PA, to the late Robert Sr. and Kathryn (Heckler) Bowens.
He was a 1955 graduate of Blossburg High School and then entered the U.S. Army. Mr. Bowens' proudly served with the 3rd Armored Division, where he enjoyed attending many reunions throughout the United States.
On May 11, 1968, Robert married the former Ann Marie Lutomski in the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Morris Run. Together they shared 50 years of loving marriage before her passing on July 7, 2018.
Robert was a member of Siloa Lutheran Church in Morris Run. He was active with Bloss F&AM Lodge 350, Williamsport Consistory as well as the Irem Temple Shrine of Dallas, PA. Bob was a life member of; Hillside Rod & Gun Club, Arnot Sportsman's Club, Red Run Rod and Gun Club, Wheel Inn and the Morris Run American Legion 167.
He was an avid outdoorsman. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling throughout the North Eastern U.S. His main interest encompassed family, especially his two grandchildren.
Surviving is his son, Robb (Amy) Bowens of Blossburg, grandchildren, Hannah and Spencer Bowens, a sister; Edna J. LeVan of Osceola, PA, sister in law, Dorothy Lutomski of Blossburg, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Beside his belove wife Ann, he was predeceased by a grandson, Robert Bowens III, Brother in Law, Donald LeVan and several Brothers in law and Sisters in law.
Family will receive friends 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the Siloa Lutheran Church, Corner of Water and Main St. Morris Run, PA 16939 with services following a 11 a.m.
Burial will be held at a later date in Morris Run's St. Joseph's Cemetery with military honors accorded
