Ronald A. Guy, Sr., 74, of Roaring Branch, Pennsylvania, wenthome to his Lord and Savior, earlyMonday morning, October 4, 2021 at UPMC in Williamsport, PA. Ronald Allen was born October 28, 1946 in Rochester, NY; the youngest of two sons to the late Winton F.and Gladys (Kemp) Guy, Sr.. He graduated from Edison Tech in Rochesterand later earned his degree to become a certified Electrician. Ron was a very intelligent individual whom was exceptional at math as well as writing computer programs. He was also an extremely hard worker. The word lazy was not in Ron's vocabulary or his demeanor. In earlier years, he was employed by Westinghouse in Attica, NY, where he met the former Sharleen Swarthout. The two fell in love and were united in Holly Matrimonyon August 17, 1985 in Warsaw, NY. Ron then accepted employment atCorning-Tropel in Fairport, NYfor several years. Eventually he and Sharleen moved in 2004 to make theirhome in the quaint town of Roaring Branch (Tioga County, PA).Always one tostay busy, he continuedworking and was employed byWard Foundry in Blossburg, PA. He served the Foundryfor 11 yearsas a Journeyman Electrician, until his retirement in 2018. Ronald was a man of faith and volunteered countless hours serving the Lord through the Assemblies of God Ministries. Ron also helped at Mt. Zion Christian Retreat Center in Roaring Branch, assisting with anything that needed done. Mr. Guy served as a missionary overseas that was sponsored by Elim Bible Institute in Lima, NY. He was a proud partner and supporter of the Bill &Franklin GrahamandJim Baker Ministries.
Surviving is: Ron'sbeloved wife of 36 years; Sharleenof Roaring Branch, three sons and a daughter-in-law; Ron (Jennifer) Guy of Greece, NY, Frank Guy of Pike, NY, and Joshua Guy of Rochester, NY, two step-children and their spouse; Barbara (Eric) Kaderli ofOrchard Park, NY, James Rickard of Fort Lauderdale, FL, four grandchildren; Savanna Marie, Ashton, Sydney and Sawyer, a brother and sister-in-law; Winton (Dorothy) Guy, Jr. of Churchville, NY, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his first wife and their daughter; Sharon (Frazier) Guy andAnn Marie Guy,who together passed away during a tragic accident in 1980.
On Sunday October 10, 2021,Ronald'sfamily invites friends to attend a 1:30 p.m. celebration oflife at the Lighthouse of Faith, 141 East Main St. (across from the Acorn Market) Canton, PA, 17724, with his Pastor, Sean Tymesonservingas celebrant. A private family burial will be held in the Lancaster-Rural Cemetery in Lancaster, NY. Family will provide flowers.
