Rose M. (Steele) Vanderpool, 75, of Roaring Branch, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Sunday morning, November 24, 2024, with loved ones by her side. Rose Marie was born April 15, 1949, in Rush, PA, a daughter to the late Earl and Alberta (Ball) Steele. She attended Towanda area school district and was a graduate of the class of 1967. Always a hard worker, Rose was employed as a certified CNA for several years at the Bradford County Manor. She also worked as a waitress at various eateries both locally and in Florida. Most recently, she again worked as a CNA for the New Horizon Nursing Rehab in Ocala, FL until her retirement.
Rose enjoyed reading non-fiction ghost books. She loved her cookbooks and playing solitaire on the computer. Giving her children a hard time, was always a favorite past time and most of the time they deserved it. Most important to Rose was making sure she worked hard to take care of her family.
Rose leaves behind her beloved husband, Myron, at home, daughters; Donna (John) Dyson of Florida, Pamela Bacon of Roaring Branch and Patricia (Jeffery) Vanderpool of Roaring Branch, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, siblings; Earl Jr. (Karen) of New York, Doda (William) Rider of Towanda, Linda (John) Devine of Ulster and Laura (Dale) Armitage of Rush Township as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, Rose was predeceased by a son-in-law, James Bacon.
A private family celebration of Rose's life will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be private. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rose's name may be directed to American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
