Obituary

Roxanne E. "Rocky" (Schultz) Malone, 64, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.

Born on February 27, 1961, Roxanne Eileen was one of seven children of Joyce (Hemenway) Schultz and the late Roger Schultz. She graduated from North Penn High School with the Class of 1979. On May 23, 1981, Roxanne married her soulmate, Mark Malone, at Covington Baptist Church. Together, they shared 44 devoted years of marriage and raised four cherished children.

Affectionately known as "Rocky" by many, she spent her working years at Broad Acres, where her spirited personality and singing voice earned her the nickname "the singing CNA." Roxanne had a generous heart—she'd give the shirt off her back to anyone in need, whether friend or stranger. Gift-giving was her love language, and laughter her trademark, often introducing herself with a playful "Rocky, always good for a laugh."

An exceptional cook, Roxanne loved filling her home—and everyone in it—with warmth and food. Her homemade bread, biscuits, and iced tea were legendary, and guests quickly learned that leaving hungry wasn't an option. When the sun was shining, she was most likely out riding the back of her beloved trike, famously declaring, "Don't bother calling—I'm not home, the weather's nice and I'm going for a ride."

Roxanne's life was deeply rooted in her faith in the Lord, which guided her with strength and grace. She found comfort and inspiration in her favorite hymn One Day at a Time.

Rocky adored her furry companions, Jinjala and Roma, and surrounded herself with the things she loved: hues of purple and grey, plants, owls, hippos, hedgehogs, and cardinals. But above all, it was her family who held her heart. She loved them deeply and unconditionally.

Roxanne will be remembered for her unwavering generosity, vibrant spirit, and the joy she brought to everyone lucky enough to know her.

Roxanne leaves behind her husband; Mark, at home, children; Mary Malone of E. Troy, and Ruth Malone of Turbotville, Jennifer Malone (Mike Rhoads) of Canton, grandchildren; Amanda Parker of Canton, Summer Malone of Dushore, Ashtin Malone of Canton, Brett Schrader of Towanda, Nevaeh Bastion of Troy, Dawson and Channing Malone both of Canton, great grandchildren; Aidyn Smith and Khyra Parker both of Canton, mother; Joyce Schultz of Blossburg, as well as several siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her father; Roger Schultz, Roxanne was predeceased by her son; Jacob Malone.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Beech Flats Cemetery on Beech Flats Road in Canton. Pepper Funeral Home,  578 Springbrook Drive in Canton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
