Ruby C. (Kent) Woodruff, 93, of Troy, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Bradford Hills in Troy, PA. Ruby Caroline was born on December 14, 1932, in Addison, New York, a daughter of the late Joseph Kent and Muriel (Rowley) Walborn. She attended Troy Area Schools and graduated with the Class of 1950. Shortly after, she married her soulmate, Leon Woodruff, with whom she shared 43 years of devoted marriage.

Ruby was known for her strong work ethic. In addition to working alongside her husband on the family farm, she was employed at Canford's for many years until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of the Leona Open Arms Ministry.

Ruby found joy in crocheting, embroidering, and sharing the bounty of her strawberry beds with friends. The home she shared with Leon was always the welcoming spot for a cup of coffee and good conversation on any given day.

Ruby leaves behind her son, Gary (Eunice) Woodruff; her daughter, Gail Wilcox (Dale Bellows); her sisters and brother‑in‑law, Adelia (Miles) Reed and Leona Kent; her grandchildren, Stacy (Daryl) Kent, Suzette (Chris) Ault, Casey Krause (Randy Howard), Chase Wilcox, special great granddaughter; Heather (Nick) Davis.  She is also survived by great‑grandchildren Scott, Steven, and Samantha Kent, Kiki Michelle, and Thomas Krause, Tyler, Jessica, Christina, Cynthia and Justina.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was predeceased by a son; Gene Woodruff, her stepfather, Leon Walborn, who lovingly helped raise her from childhood into adulthood; her brother, Wayne Walborn and her granddaughter, Danielle Bramley.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Bradford Hills for the wonderful care provided to Ruby during her time there.
