Ruth H. (Williams) Meuse, 89, of Canton, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday evening, August 11, 2026, while surrounded by her loving family. Ruth Harriet was born on May 16, 1937, in Albany, NY a daughter of the late Clifford and Pearl (Mulno) Williams.

Ruth graduated from Canton High School and soon after, on February 16, 1957, married Joseph “Joe” Meuse in Ralston. Joe preceded her in death on January 22, 1997, after nearly 40 years of marriage.

She worked as a dedicated sewing machine operator at Wundies in Williamsport for 40 years before retiring in 1997.

Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family, watching birds, putting puzzles together, tending flowers, and, most of all, watching General Hospital. She dearly loved her family and held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters, Myra Meuse of Canton, Tammy (Robert) Hipple of Canton, Becky (Rey) Saenz of Roswell, GA, Donna (Billy) Marsh of Morehead, KY, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, siblings, Betty Deljanovan of Canton, James Williams Sr. of Burlington, numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was predeceased by a son, Joseph Meuse II, siblings, Betty Jean Williams, Pheobe Smith, and Clifford Williams Jr.

It was Ruth’s request that there be no calling hours or funeral services. A private burial and graveside to honor Ruth’s life will be held at the Park Cemetery in Canton.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Ruth H. Meuse’s loving memory may be directed to the St. Judes Children’s Hospital.

The Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements.
