Sharon K. May, 73, of Canton, PA unexpectedly passed away at her home Sunday, December 16, 2018.
Sharon Bump was born January, 21 1945 in Canton, a daughter of the late Wesley Bump and Beatrice(Clinton) Keschl. She was a member of Canton High School's graduating class of 1963. On August 9, 1992 she married the love of her life Bradley E. May at the Grover Church of Christ. Sharon drove school bus for 39 years, retiring in 2010. To her kids she was a loving Mom who made their lives fun by spending lots of time playing with them and she was always a source of strength. To her grandkids she was Mimi. She was known by them as someone who could bake anything they wanted, would play any games they had and had no problems playing a great game of hide and seek. Mimi was a true matriarch whose family was her priority and she kept them all together.
Sharon was a long-time faithful member of the Grover Church of Christ. She also was a member of Canton's Innes Hose Company's Auxiliary and was active with many of their community functions. She volunteered with Central PA Food Banks "Fresh Express" at the Canton Calvary Church. Sharon is known for her many acts of kindness and willingness to always jump in and lend a hand. Never one to back down she was never afraid to do the right thing. Sharon had a heart that was very forgiving and generous.
Surviving are her children; John Walters, Jr. (Jeanette) of Canton, Kevin Walters of Seymour, TN, Michele (Tony) Caprella of Dacula, GA and Clinton "C.J." (Becca) Walters of Canton, stepchildren; Byron May, Boyd (Julie) May and Debra (Donnie) Sharp all of Canton, 11 grandchildren; Brandon Walters, Halley Walters, Cayenne Walters, Savina Walters, Olivia Caprella, Alayna Caprella, Gavin Sharp, Logan Sharp, Hannah Walters, Emily Walters and Jackson Walters, four siblings; Joyce Brown of New York, Beverly Bump of Philadelphia, Robert (Linda) Bump of Millerton and Denis Keschl of Belgrade, Maine.
In addition to her husband Brad who passed away April 4, 2016, Sharon was predeceased by three siblings; Sheila Bump, Diane Keschl and Charles Bump
Calling hours are 4 – 7 Thursday, Dec. 20, at Pepper Funeral Home & Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Dr., Canton. At 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, Pastor Will Strunk will officiate the funeral service at the Grover Church of Christ at 498 Grover Rd., followed by burial in Windfall Cemetery.
