Obituary

Sharri K. (Harkness) Weed, 57, of Columbia Cross Roads, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the Robert Packer Hospital, with her loving family by her side. Sharri Kae was born July 5, 1967, in Elmira, NY, a daughter to Vaughn and Kathleen (Kerr) Harkness. She attended Troy Area Schools and was a graduate of the class of 1985. After high school, Sharri went on to the Wilma Boyd Travel School in Pittsburgh. On April 23, 1992, Sharri married her soulmate, Michael Weed. Together they shared nearly 33 years of loving marriage and raised 2 children. Sharri was most recently employed as a unit clerk at the Tioga Point Nursing Home until she was no longer able to work.  Sharri was a woman who had her faith in the Lord and was a member of Grace Community Church of Troy, PA.

Sharri truly enjoyed going to church and was very dedicated to her morning bible devotions and attending bible study. It was because of her strong faith in the Lord that she was always able to find joy in every day. She was the true definition of a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Her boys being her pride and joy, Sharri was at every single one of her boys' sporting events and was their biggest fan. She always made sure Logan got to his favorite fishing spots when he couldn't yet drive. A devoted grandmother, Sharri found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren playing games, watching movies, and sharing stories. Sharri was a kind and happy soul who made friends with everyone she ever worked with. She always had the biggest smile. Once she started laughing, it became contagious, and she couldn't stop. Sharri always enjoyed going out and spending time with friends.

Sharri leaves behind her husband; Mike Weed, parents; Vaughn (Kathleen) Harkness, son; Devon (Kelsey) Weed, grandchildren; Bennett and Remmi Weed, brother; Scott Harkness, sisters-in-law; Candy Wolfe and Kelly (Chuck) Bastion, mother and father-in-law; Max (Darlene) Weed, nieces; Peyton and Emma Harkness, Elexis Bastion and Lydia and Amber Wolfe, nephews; Hunter Wolfe, Chaz Bastion and Mason Weed as well as many special friends.
