Obituary

Thomas C. Pepper, 86, of LeRoy, PA, went peacefully home to his Lord and Savior, Thursday, December 15, 2022, while in the compassionate care of the staff at Twin Oaks Personal Care Home in Granville Summit, PA.

Tom was born August 22, 1936, to the late Lyle and Ella Mae (Kelley) Pepper. He was the oldest of three boys and had a deep love for his younger brothers. He graduated from Canton High School where he met the love of his life, the late Janet W. Morgan. They were married by Pastor Paul Dale and shared 65 years together. They had four children and felt blessed to raise them on the family farm.

He was a faithful and loyal family man who took great pride in his children and grandchildren. A lifelong farmer and lover of land and beast, he had a special affinity for horses and loved to watch things grow. He enjoyed a good day's work and never shied away from a job that needed to be done. He and Janet were a great team as they operated a successful dairy farm for most of their lives. He was a man who always wanted the best for you. A generous individual, he found great joy in helping someone in need and had a soft spot for anyone who might be down on their luck. He had a gift for storytelling, loved a good laugh, and was happiest when kids were around, especially his beloved grandchildren. They affectionately called him "Muck". Many happy family memories were made on the farm, in the woods, or at the pond as he always enjoyed time outdoors.

He loved the Lord and had a deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ. He had a gift for sharing the simplicity of salvation with others and wanted nothing more than for you to know Christ as your personal savior. He was a faithful lifelong member of Leroy Independent Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents and beloved spouse, Thomas was predeceased by a daughter; Laurie Ann Pepper, and a great grandson; Evan Andrew Pepper.

Surviving Thomas are, daughters; Deb (Don) Wooster and Michelle (Jim) Jennings, a son Thomas (Brenda) Pepper, brothers; Jack (Judy) Pepper, Don (Sharon) Pepper, grandchildren; Stephanie (Jeff) Dean, Nathan (Jenn) Wooster, Travis (Amanda) Pepper, Taylor (Lacy) Pepper, T. Andrew (Shawna) Pepper, Jonathan (Kristin) Pepper, Wesley (Annie) Jennings, Ashlynn (Mark) Bush, and Caleb (Ciara) Jennings, 27 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
