Virginia L. Murphy, 70, of Liberty, PA, passed away, January 4, 2019, at UPMC Susquehanna Hospital in Williamsport. Born April 5, 1948 in Lancaster, Pa, a daughter of the late Edward Riker Sr. and Betty (Rittenhouse) Taylor.

Her love for family and home came first in Ginny's life. She was an avid reader, collector of frog memorabilia and will be fondly remembered for being a root beer coinsure. She also loved pink roses and was a member of Liberty's Harvest Family Fellowship. Virginia was employed for several years as a Pre-School Teacher at the Covington Community Daycare until her retirement.

Surviving are her children; Luci (Adam) Kolb of Liberty, Robert Murphy of California, Moises Fontanez of Elizabethtown, eight grandchildren, three brothers, Ed, Doug and Ron Riker all of the Lancaster area. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and neighbors. In addition to parents, Ginny was predeceased by a sister; Linda Polson.
