Obituary

William C. Yeager, 77, of Arnot, PA, passed away early Friday morning, September 2, 2022, at his residence while surrounded by loving family. William Charles was born December 18, 1944, in Wellsboro, a son of the late David and Virginia (Stradley) Yeager Burt.

William graduated from the North Penn Jr & Sr. School in Blossburg; until having to work in the woods to assist his family during difficult financial times. On July 3, 1976, William married the love of his life and best friend the former Sonja Yoder in the Arnot Presbyterian Church. Together they shared 46 wonderful years of marriage and raised three children. In earlier years, he was employed by J&B mining for several years until its closure. He later was employed by Signor trucking in Arnot for many years retiring. During this time, Bill continued working part- time for the Signor Family.
He was a member of the Arnot Sportsman's Club, the Bloss Masonic Lodge 350, Sugar Hill Hunting Club and the Salem Lutheran Church both in Liberty.

Bill was an avid outdoorsman and loved nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and antique yard sales. Bill possessed a genuine care for animals and often could be found feeding the wildlife around his home. He was an avid and talented woodworker. William was known to like to visit; he'd always enjoyed sharing a good story or two with friends. Bill would help anyone in need, whenever he could. Most important was Bills family. Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He absolutely held near to his heart the ten grandchildren and their many special times spent together.

Surviving is; his wife, Sonja, children; Teake (Amber) Yeager of Athens, Tyler (Rebecca) Yeager of Maddison Township and Tarah (Tim) Knopp of Boiling Springs, grandchildren; Ella, Cy, Nora, Willow, Emy, Ely, Beau, Cade, Sami and Joey, siblings; Donna Leadbetter, Buddy (Janet) Forer, Lydia (Donald) Reed and Larry Yeager; brothers in law and sisters in law; Rick Yoder, Brenda (Herb) Gerow, Lonnie, Jan and Lennie (Mandy) Yoder, Joan and Linda Yeager. Many special neighbors, friends, nieces, nephews cousins, and Bill's faithful Cat and friend, Herman.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by; siblings, Mary Ellen Ingalls, Patsy (William) Cox, Cindy (Keith) Pequignot, David and Stephen "Pete" Yeager, brother in laws; Buddy Leadbetter and Leslie Yoder, Jr.

Maintaining to Mr. Yeager's wishes there will be no services.  A private family gathering to celebrate William's life will be held at the convenience of the family.
