Jean “Jeanie” M. Day, 70, of Roaring Branch, passed away, unexpectedly on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at UPMC Williamsport. Jean Marie was born on July 31, 1950 in Blossburg, a daughter of the late Donald and Beverly “Billy” (Woodward) Day. She was employed by Wundies Undies for 30 years until her health declined and she could no longer continue.
Jeanie was a kind hearted individual who would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She was always willing to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed attending Tioga Downs and visits with her friends and family. She held a special place in her heart for her nephew, Lee Rogers.
Surviving are her sisters; Connie (Guy) Rogers of Roaring Branch and Sharon Wesneski of Virginia, a brother; Donald (Carolyn) Day of Roaring Branch, nieces and nephews; Michael Rogers, Donald Day Jr., Loretta Day, Roxanna Haar, Jimmy Wesneski, Brenda Solkoly, Norma Maddox and Tonya Burget.
Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her sisters; Donna Kohler an infant, Carolyn Day and a brother-in-law; James Wesneski.
Friends may call on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 10-11 A.M. at Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, Inc., 578 Springbrook Drive, Canton, PA 17724. A funeral service will follow at 11 A.M. with Rev. Charles Thomas officiating. Masks and social distancing are required. Burial will be held at a later date in Roaring Branch Cemetery.
