Thomas E. Ruhl, 64, beloved husband of Diane (Mead) Ruhl, of Mansfield, Pa., formerly of the Lancaster area, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Soldiers & Sailors Hospital in Wellsboro. Tom was born September 1, 1955 to the late Robert and Janet (Foreman) Ruhl. He was a graduate of Eprhrata High School where he also attended Browntown Vo-Tech. On November 4, 2005 he married the love of his life, Diane Mead in Northumberland, PA. He was a talented auto mechanic and was employed as a Chrysler Certified Mechanic for over 40 years until his retirement.
Tom was an outdoorsman, an avid hunter and a member of the Lancaster Hunting Camp. He had a special place in his heart for dogs, man’s best friend. Tom always looked forward to visits and socializing with his many friends.
Besides his parents, Tom is predeceased by his father-in-law Charles Mead and a brother-in-law Reed Gehr.
Surviving Tom are his wife of 14 years, Diane Ruhl, a son, Jason Ruhl of Lititz, PA, step-daughters; Jennifer Frey of Canton, Gail (Isaac) Embick of Mifflinburg, and Tiffany (David) Propst of Northumberland, sister; Yvonne Gehr of Ephrata, brother; Larry Ruhl of Denver, PA, mother-in-law; Beverly Mead of Roaring Branch, brothers-in-law; Charles (Bernadette) Mead of Wellsboro, Ronald Mead of Roaring Branch, Steven Mead of Canton, and Terry (Brenda) Mead of Roaring Branch, sister-in-law Cathy (Tony) Cohick of Ogdensburg ,grandson; Eric five step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Services to honor Tom’s life will be held at a later date. Pepper Funeral Home & Cremation Facility is assisting family with arrangements. Memorial donations in Thomas’s name may be directed to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601.
