Doris Kovalefsky, 86, of Canton, PA, formerly of Meshoppen, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by her family early Friday morning, March 28, 2014.

Born in West Burlington on June 25, 1927, Doris Eloise was one of thirteen children of late Charles and Alice (Spencer) Swain. She was married to Donald McCormick, Harold Hunsinger and Charles Kovalefsky. Doris worked at Bradford County Manor as a Certified Nurses Assistant for several years. She always had a smile for everyone and enjoyed times spent playing board games, going shopping and yard sales. In earlier years, Doris loved swimming and fishing. She was a talented cook and kept an immaculate home.

Surviving are her children; Dale Hunsinger, Sr. of Sayre, Judy Jayne of Canton, Ronald McCormick of Bellefonte and Bruce Hunsinger of Ulster, 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor, Phyllis and Gladys.

Besides her husbands, she was predeceased by nine siblings; Mildred, Florence, Edna, Frances, Bertha, Lewis, Robert, Paul, and Clayton.

Rev. Jerry Schmidt will officiate her memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Pepper Funeral Home in Canton. Burial will be private.
