Kenneth Brass, 79, lifelong resident of Canton, PA, passed away Wednesday morning, September 14, 2011 following a brief stay at the Bradford County Manor.

Born on May 10, 1932, in Canton, Kenneth Eugene "Kenny" was one of four children of the late Samuel William and Agnes Marie (Hawkins) Brass. He graduated from Canton High School with the class of 1953.

Kenny was employed by the former Canton Diner for over 22 years. He was a hard worker, usually seven days a week, and loved telling stories to all the patrons. Later, he worked for the former Drevco Manufacturingin Canton. Kenneth was of the Catholic faith.

He enjoyed doing many things and lived life to its fullest regardless of his physical limitations. Kenny especially loved sharing good times with family and friends, movies at the Rialto Theatre and all kinds of music. He could play a song on the organ by ear and spent many New Year Eves, birthday parties and other celebrations entertaining at Canton's McCallum Manor.

Surviving are two sisters, Marie (Harold) Bartlett of Tioga and Catherine "Kate" Shertz of Canton; a sister-in-law, Delores Brass of South Williamsport; special nephew, Leon English III of W. Palm Beach, FL; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friend, Stuart Wilson of Franklindale.

He was predeceased by a brother, James Brass and two brothers-in-law, William Shertz and Leon English.

Friends may call 2 to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19th, at the Pepper Funeral Home, Springbrook Drive, Canton. The Funeral service will follow at3 p.m. with the Rev. David Morris and Decon Bill Graham officiating. Burial will be held in the Beech Flats Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be directed to a charity of one's choice in Mr. Brass' name.
